Formulation

Our formulary consists of thousands of ironclad, stock formulas that can be used as-is or tweaked by modifying scent, color, texture & viscosity. This option is the quickest and most cost-effective way to get a formula to your specifications and into production.

To avoid a reformulation fee, we ask that you provide us with the following:

-Full list and order of ingredients
-Temperature of the manufacturing environment
-Duration of the process
-Equipment used (emulsifier, paddle mixer, auger etc…)
-Suppliers of each raw material
-Documentation of existing stability, microbial, compatibility, and efficacy testing

Reverse engineering an existing formula on the market is as much a science as it is a craft. Royal Labs has a long, demonstrated history of successfully replicating formulas to be extremely similar to the original. The reverse engineering process involves:

- Analyzing the product’s ingredients, preservatives, fragrances, or added colors
- Examining the product’s physical characteristics, such as texture and viscosity
- Investigating the original manufacturing process
- Testing the product for its efficacy and performance
